Yes, so Donald Trump, since he returned to the White House, has been
Focused on many things.
But one of the really interesting things that he's be had a bugbear about is the way that American history is represented in American cultural institutions.
And particularly leading up to the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, he has complained that institutions like the Smithsonian, particularly the Smithsonian, are failing to properly honor the Founding Fathers.
And he said.
Recently, that he's gonna get signage installed outside that museum that tells the public that there is incorrect messages inside this museum, that the information there is not being properly presented, and perhaps even have information on where visitors can see American history better represented.
The signage isn't in place yet, but you know, it's just part of.
this journey that he's been on to really crack down on what his administration sees as kind of woke politics in the way that history is being framed.
Yeah, so there was a couple of exhibitions that came up in a congressional hearing last week with the director of the museum.
And there was one that they thought, you know, they were worried about trans-related material inside that exhibition.
There was another they were worried about pot things that they saw as p potentially dividing the races.
That was their terms.
But they're particularly concerned about how the 250th anniversary is.
being presented.
They're worried about the rewriting of history around issues like slavery and the founding fathers and their relationship with the slave trade and things like that.
And I think that it's really come to a force since July 4th and all of those celebrations.
