You know, so fair enough up to every other point, but I don't think the guy who wants to be selected wants to be in the coaching box.

Maybe he feel like he'll have a bit of a say in it, but Sam Prendergast and Fintan Gunnar are in very different positions in that Leinster squad as well.
They're two very different players in terms of their standing in the squad.
So that's one thing I find inconsistent.
And then the other thing is when you look at rugby through a prism of, you know, participation, development, performance,
Bernard's right in saying that the 80 minutes in the final is not for development.
It's certainly not for participation.
It's for performance and performance only.
And the outcome is the only thing that matters, obviously, in lifting the trophy or not.
And like you talk about schools rugby, like first year might be participation, second year development, third year.
performance and you repeat that in the senior cycle you might look at it that way but you might also look at it a different way in professional game where you get academy players into the pre-season and that's participation give them exposure at the end of the pre-season you might get some of them into pre-season game that's development you could argue they all blur anyway but you're not going to keep them forever because you need to perform you need your squad performing across the season so like there's times in the year that's for development and there's times that are for solely for performance and a final is clearly solely for performance so look i'd have my questions around it as well but um
you know they're I like it as a progressive way of looking at things throughout the season as you said earlier Neil but in the final I'm not really sure just another point on Leinster before I move off and I thought Sam Prendergast was very very good at the beginning I know he's on the front foot but it made me think throughout the game

and who are you going to pick for the next game you know so i would not like to be in this position picking those tens because they seem to perform at a time where you think you have the answer the other guy performs or doesn't perform um and it's a really tough one but i thought sam prendergast showed everything that he's about last weekend there was one or two errors but he tried to i think when he got into his rhythm he was throwing that long pass just slightly too often because he got away with a couple well he he executed a couple really well
but he's given another headache to Leo post post Champions Cup heading into the URC running and he clearly backed his man as well I don't know why he didn't back Jaron Frawley but he was right in the end because Sam Prendergast did the business I thought
