And we saw that drive inflows to save.
That being said, investing is still by and far a higher proportion compared to the inflows into saving.
But it will be interesting to see with that increased...
rate coming out of RBNZ's announcement of the OCR, will that continue to drive in increased favor of savings?
Will people start to see that that stability and that higher rate in save has a little bit more appeal than perhaps the perceived volatility in investments?
Time will tell where that comes in the coming quarter.
Yeah, so over in the US, the major indexes were a bit mixed over the week.
S&P 500 was up 1.23%.
The NASDAQ also up 1.74%, which is actually the fourth week out of five up, which is a strong indicator there.
The Dow was down 0.5% and the Russell down 0.6%.
So while we saw a bit of a mix there across the major indexes, there was a bit of concentration in that growth.
So when we look at the equal weight S&P, that was actually down across the period, indicating that those gains were really concentrated at some of the big companies at the top of the index.
Closer to home, the ASX 200 was down 0.4%, and the NZX 50 finished slightly higher.
Yeah, over the last week, we actually saw the AI trade stabilize a bit.
Meta was a big standout, up 14.8%.
They announced plans to increase by 14 gigawatts of compute by 2027.
And this was really kind of pushing back on those fears around overbuilding that we've been hearing a lot of commentary on.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index finished the week up 2.7%, but that's actually still 11% below the highs we saw in late June.
So, you know, while it's looking positive, there is still, you know, not still hitting those peaks that we saw previously.
