So it's just totally ridiculous.
The guy is ridiculous to me.
But here's the thing.
He has so much in common with all of these other hucksters that are out there that you really start to see patterns in con men when you start to deal with them.
But once you're up close with them, you see how other people get taken in.
Like, we only didn't get taken in by Billy because he was doing the interview from prison because Fyre Fest was famous.
But there are so many other con artists where you just go...
Something doesn't really add up, but I like the guy, so I'm going to give him a pass.
And that's how you end up losing money, because if you're not a paranoid weirdo who can't function in society, you're probably going to be okay with them until you get burned.
Right.
Oh, yeah, we definitely know that, right?
I mean, there's this show that was on in the UK a million years ago called The Real Hustle or something like that.
I don't know, some people may have seen this if they're in the UK or if they're like big fans of these types of shows because it kind of made its rounds here on the internet or whatever with like the magic crowd and the DEFCON hacker crowd.
Anyway, so they used to run scams, right?
They would run these fake scams for a reality TV show in the UK and their slogan at the end,
I can't remember, I think his name's R. Paul Wilson or something like that.
He used to say, hey, by the way, if you're the type of person who thinks you can't be conned, you're exactly the type of person that I wanna meet because you are the prime victim if you think that you cannot be conned because what you have, and I'm not gonna get the scientific term for it because it's at the tip of my tongue, but basically, you've already decided that you're smarter than the person who's targeting you.
And that's a massive problem.
Like when you do a war game or something like that for a military exercise or a security exercise, you want to think like the criminal.
And what you do is you come in and you go, all right, what are our weak spots?
