If your mom gets scammed by a romance scammer, she needs to know it's not because she's a
dumb, lonely, old lady who doesn't know any better and shouldn't be allowed to use the internet.
It's because somebody who is a professional criminal targeted her and pushed all the right buttons.
That is not a flaw in her humanity.
That is a flaw in the other person's humanity.
There are numerous times where I've been listening to your show and I go, all right, shoe on the other foot.
If somebody that I kind of met and liked had a sick kid and I'd invite them to stay with me because they were evicted and I bought their sob story and their baby lives with me and I've seen with my own eyes that child gets sick and it's nothing she's doing.
And then it's like, well, she did go to the bathroom before with him, but did she wait?
Never do that.
She's a nice lady.
And you came and you were like, I'm going to interview her because she is Munchausen and she's harming her child.
I would throw you out of my house so fast, Andrea, you wouldn't even know what hit you.
And then I'm like, oh, I could easily become part of the problem because it's just a matter of like whose buttons get pushed and who gets there first, which is always the bad guy.
Right.
And like how convincing they are.
And the people who are not convincing are not on your show because they get caught in five minutes and they go to jail or something.
They don't almost ever go to jail.
Well, I guess that's true.
But the smoothest operators, they operate for years and they become they get in that fun, that nonprofit that you had on.
And they're hobnobbing with celebrities and billionaires.
