I didn't know how to drive a stick shift, especially a stick shift that had been manufactured in nineteen sixty eight.
So I was try I mean, I could drive a a nice, you know, Ford Mustang or something, but I I wasn't about to be able to figure out.
You know how there's a trick with a clutch.
Every car that's over ten years old has a trick, maybe even five years old.
I couldn't figure this out and I was adrenaline was going
Crazy.
And as you know, just from your studies, when there's enough adrenaline, you're you couldn't probably do the alphabet.
So let alone figure out how to do a stick while you're being, you know, trying to make sure nobody's coming out.
So I I ended up not being able to do the car thing, took the keys out of the ignition and chucked them so that they couldn't chase me in the car and just ran.
And I I don't know how far I ran, but it seems like some kind of half marathon.
And I'm running it in like Banana Republic chinos and stuff till I get to a main road.
And then I'm trying to flag down cars, but I'm drenched in sweat.
