They're directing you. I know how this is meant to be read. And yet you're vulnerable to somebody else actually having some kind of objectivity. So you welcome that. And then on top of it, being a decent reader, being somebody who's pretty comfortable reading in public, I was stuttering through my shit left and right. I couldn't get through two sentences without fucking up a word.
So I started spying. No, it took me four days. It was fine. They were doing that thing like, this is so good. This is great. And I'm like, you're lying to me. You think I'm that type of a person or actor or whatever that is surrounded by a bunch of yes people that just needs a little stroke. Ein kleiner Penisrub und dann ist alles okay. Für eine Stunde.

Du bist so, guck, ich kenne diese Geschichte oder es gibt etwas oder was ist das, was ist das Ding in dem Buch, das dir am liebsten gefällt?
Was war ein Meilenstein, der dir am liebsten gefällt? Und du merkst, ich weiß nicht, ich habe den Buch nicht geschrieben. Ich bin nur, ich bin nur die Bücher promoten.

Es gibt definitiv eine Einfluss. Eine Einfluss. Ich glaube nicht, dass es einen Überfluss gibt. Ich glaube, dass es viele Einflüsse gibt.

I have 15 words in that sentence and I know 9 is better. And I know 6 is even better. What was the main reason for not needing it? Redundancy? Redundancy, add-on, icing. All this kind of shit that you don't need and you realize.
And especially if you have any kind of poetic predilections, you want to kind of flower it up. Oh, totally.
So if you're doing that in a journal, it's all good. So you can masturbate. Aber wenn du es für den öffentlichen Konsum machst, sagst du, es gibt eine tolle Geschichte von Raymond Carver. Raymond Carver hatte einen Editor. Und sie sagten, er hatte etwa 12 oder 15 Wörter in einem Satz. Und dieser Editor sagte immer, schnapp es runter zu 12, schnapp es runter zu 11.
And then finally he got so incensed that he fired the editor and he got a new editor and the editor saw the new sentence that was down till 11 or 12 and said, now if we can just knock it down to 8 or 9, we'll be there. And he's like, fuck you. And he got a Pulitzer for it.
Super. Super Lean, er hat natürlich gehört, selbst wenn er kämpfte, er hat zu seinen Editoren gehört. Und ich weiß nicht, wie es ist, wenn ich über Stockhandel spreche. Es ist nicht so interessant für eine Menge Leute, die darüber schreiben. Aber ich denke, dass es einen Sinn gibt, wie ein Schauspieler.
generate your skills, germinate what you have. So me reading whoever I read, you're the first person, by the way, to bring up Sam, which I appreciate, because there's the Influencer, there's the Kerouac Influencer, there's the Mailer Influencer, there's the Joan Didion Influencer, there's whatever. And then you finally, which I think this book has, you finally find your own voice.
