Yeah, so the number of times where I've been in the right place at the right time or unemployed at the right time, like I didn't have a job and that's how I got the West Wing.

And then to bring me to this, Tiffany Little Canfield and I had worked together as casting associates on the TV show Smash.

She was in New York, I was in LA.

Okay, yep.

uh on the pilot and we became friends she moved out to la to open uh a west coast office for bernie telsey yeah and we just happened to be put right next to each other during pilot season again and reconnected so while she was working on this i was working on my pilot which did not become a tv show and i was really at a place of like

I need to be working with somebody, doing it on my own.

I wasn't getting the projects I wanted.

I didn't say anything to her.

Then a month or two later, she said, I got this message saying, hey, what are you up to?

I thought she meant like, let's go get sushi.

She said, no, need some help.

and invited me to work with her on this.

And all she said, it was a family drama.

And I got to say, like my initial response was like, who's going to have cancer this week, you know?

And then it turns out.

But then she gave me the script and I went, oh, this is what I've been waiting for and just didn't know.

And I immediately knew who was special.
