I can actually ask questions.

I can interact with the people who are presenting that.

I can explore different things and different products and have just so much more depth and story.

And we're not just buying a flat thing that does something in our lives.

We're actually buying a whole story in a way that some new product comes into our lives.

whether that's fashion where you're talking to the designer or fashion where you're talking to a curator who's done so much work where they're telling their story of why they think these are the best, whatnot has really facilitated so many new ways for that interaction to happen.

And it makes the shopping when you make your purchase, you feel much more both confident, engaged, and have a connection to what you're buying.

So I've just been I've been blown away by their execution over the number of years.

You know, they were you know again one of those companies

Is live shopping ever really gonna work in the US?

You know, there were clearly some evidence of it working in China and

when it starts to really flourish, you see massive new behavior and you see people buying and selling things in a way that that is again much more real and much more about a human connection.

I mean I think that

microdramas are a huge part of the next wave of entertainment.

You know, it kind of started with the TikTok and actually even MusicLee, which I had backed at when I was uh at Greylock.

We found a team that was building Musicly and they had an idea that short form video

again with it initially with even like a music soundtrack can create a whole different experience that you watch and you have a meaningful connection before you go on to the next one.

And that as they learn which ones you have meaningful connections, it becomes this really wonderful feed of content that speaks to you and lets you both connect with the creators and connect with the content in a new way.

And as that was sold to ByteDance and became TikTok, it has flourished in a way that it truly has some of the

richest, best content anywhere.
