When I think, you know, we're talking here and people are listening.
Like, voice is an incredible medium to express a lot of thoughts.
You can often talk much faster than you type.
I'm one of these people that tends to think out loud, and so I'll talk and talk and talk until I kind of fully refine my point of view.
Voice is also lossy, though.
It's times you wander and ramble a little bit until you get something.
When I'm typing, I might type it and ramble a little bit, but by the time
I edit and polish the the thing that I'm typing to send or communicate to somebody else, I've gotten it really tight.
And so I do think a lot about where voice sits as one part of the entire continuum of communication.
I think we're gonna have a lot of times where
Voice assistants should be able to let you ramble and let you have that long thought pattern and then help you distill the real meaning out of it and capture those core thoughts.
We have a lot of these, you know, on the work side, we have all these great meeting note takers that kind of record everything and synthesize them incredibly well.
Oh, in our personal lives, when we have ideas, we want to be able to ramble and think and dream and have it sort of capture what we need to do.
When you have just
It's a quick idea and you want to remember it later.
Voice is often a better paradigm than having to type it in because it's the easiest way just to quickly express your thought.
I'm not yet a believer though that we're all gonna move to voice for everything.
I think it's always gonna be a balance.
And I think the idea of a voice only agent doesn't really make sense.
It's a, hey, there's times where I want to type.
