You could change the vote threshold.

You could say we're going to carve it out for certain things and not for others.

But I think the Democrats need to know that are we going to be the party of the people or are we going to be the party of the Senate?

And my view is we need to be the party of the people.

That's exactly what the president said this morning, Steve.

He made exactly that point.

And he said, I think unless we get serious and show that we are serious about reopening this government, and not just that, but passing legislation like voter ID, like voter integrity laws nationwide.

You know, we ought to ban ballot harvesting nationwide.

I've had a bill to do that for years.

We ought to do that.

President talked about that today.

We ought to require national voter ID.

We have it in Missouri.

We ought to have it in every state of the union.

He talked about that today.

Unless we get serious about passing some of this legislation, Steve, I think you're absolutely right.

Democrats have made a bet, and they made it decades ago, that they could flood the country with illegal immigrants and they could, over time,

sort of wash those people through and get them registered as voters.

And now, as you know, in many states, liberal states, you can't even ask for an ID.

You can't check citizenship status, including in federal elections.
