And I think Henderson was better technically than he maybe gets credit for.

But if he can end up with Sobisai,

sort of being your Jordan Henderson then I think you're on to a winner there and I almost wonder then if Frimpong can kind of become Trent where he doesn't necessarily have to be a building block because he gets to just be this really fast like shot out of a cannon lad that we can have from right back that makes teams go oh hang on like what do we do about him because suddenly he's running behind whoever the right winger is when we sort of build this team and he's coming inside but he's coming inside at such pace that no one can tackle him and all these sort of different kinds of things because that's that's where I think like Liverpool were able to excel was by having a mercurial lad like Trent

nullifying his own weaknesses in the same way they did Salah, but that just being a complete unicorn of a position on the pitch for Liverpool.

I just need to have more fun on the show, to be honest, Neil.

The winger question becomes really interesting to me, Stu, because as I sort of start to build it out with the lads that I've mentioned there in my mind, like if you are buying a six, a proper six, that means you move Grabenberg onto the left hand side, for example, which then sort of, you know, takes McAllister out of the starting 11 at least.

The Anfield Wrap
Liverpool’s Last Great Team & The Next: TAW Unwrapped

You've got Sobosai on the right of that.

The Anfield Wrap
Liverpool’s Last Great Team & The Next: TAW Unwrapped

You've got Wurz at the tip of that.

Well, then suddenly it feels like the sort of word should have like the QI word that makes the siren go off like diamond.

The Anfield Wrap
Liverpool’s Last Great Team & The Next: TAW Unwrapped

You've got the two lads up top.

The Anfield Wrap
Liverpool’s Last Great Team & The Next: TAW Unwrapped

Where do wingers sort of fall into that?

The Anfield Wrap
Liverpool’s Last Great Team & The Next: TAW Unwrapped

Because I take Neil's point about Gakpo and Gakpo is a kind of really interesting one because again he's another name I've not mentioned but it's almost because similar to McAllister really he's just a bit light in the areas like he was probably mercurial light and building block light last season and we've needed him to be a bit more mercurial this season because we lost mercurial heavy and building block heavy Luis Diaz who again is like that sort of Roberto Firmino you know unicorn almost.

The Anfield Wrap
Liverpool’s Last Great Team & The Next: TAW Unwrapped

you kind of end up in a point where Gakpo became too important really when you need him to be in a lesser role so maybe he does excel in a lesser role and if it's like a sort of winger striker thing because it feels to me like it all kind of pivots around that where if it ends up looking a bit like Arsenal and it's Gravenberg and whoever your six is kind of sat in a two almost well Soboslai almost swings up next to Wurz there Wurz ends up somewhere on the left Eke TK is doing loads of stuff on the left maybe Izak is pretty sort of

The Anfield Wrap
Liverpool’s Last Great Team & The Next: TAW Unwrapped

centre there but it means that you kind of can see areas of the pitch where you know if Sobisai is swinging up well that's where Rio Ngamoa could play if you wanted to play on the right if they're swinging up that's where Rio Ngamoa and Gakpo could play if they're coming off the left there kind of still is room for a footballer like Cody Gakpo it's just almost about making him certified just building block we don't need him to be mercurial

The Anfield Wrap
Liverpool’s Last Great Team & The Next: TAW Unwrapped

Are there any kind of concerns about recruiting wingers for any of you?

The Anfield Wrap
Liverpool’s Last Great Team & The Next: TAW Unwrapped

Because if we're basing it off the first 11 that we're all kind of building in our minds, how do you sell the idea of minutes to someone who is just like... So like Alisse to me, maybe he's more versatile than I'm giving him credit for, but if you sign someone like Alisse, how do you promise him... It's fine, right, Wings?

The Anfield Wrap

I think he was doing it early in the season.

The Anfield Wrap
Liverpool’s Last Great Team & The Next: TAW Unwrapped

I think loads of the things that you saw that were bad against PSG, for example, where he was coming really deep but losing the ball really deep, he was doing that really well early in the season where he was able to spin a man and then suddenly he had 30 yards of space to run into.

The Anfield Wrap
Liverpool’s Last Great Team & The Next: TAW Unwrapped

you know that that was the sort of thing that we ended up replacing with a little bit less mercurial reality i i think there is like a player morale question here though maybe like i think sometimes we can overdo it as fans in my head i know i i certainly do but then i heard klopp on on the peter crouch podcast talking about this as well where he was he was kind of saying like when he bought most salary in fact it might have even been to john when he said this when he when he bought um most salary into the club mo was like where am i gonna play and he was like like don't don't worry about that like it'll be fine

The Anfield Wrap

And similarly, the bit he definitely said on the Crouch podcast was when he brought Diaz in and he just said about how Mane's attitude of having to move to number nine all of a sudden was like exemplary, but it's like sort of finding ways to still get football as a game time they're going to agree to almost.
