Uh we'd expect Mercedes and Ferrari to be the strongest here and really on this first day there hasn't really been anything to disprove that.

Uh it was very much looking like the case.

McLaren they were happy with a H-wing on the back of the car, but obviously that was never gonna be a a massive game changer.

Uh it did work and it should stay on.

For the rest of the weekend, but they look a little bit adrift, um, about four-tenths, I think, on a single lap, and about just over three-tenths over the long run.

Um, or actually a bit more, actually, it was over four-tenths on the long run.

So they're a bit adrift, Red Bull as well.

And I think Max Verstappen basically complained about every part of the car uh today.

So it's looking like Mercedes-Besferrari with that grid penalty thrown in, like you said, on Antonelli's side.

So yeah, it's quite

quite finely poised.

Um Ferrari said the engine upgrade was working well.

Uh Ollie Behrman was probably the midfield standout really, really quick uh in the upgraded has both chassis and engine for him.

Ocon's just got the new chassis, but unfortunately, because basically when we weren't into this weekend, we thought it was gonna be a great chance to see the Ferrari engine compared between Ockon and Behrman, because only Bearman's got the the new engine.

But John unfortunately Ocon's got the

parts inconsistency issue.

So it's not.

So it's not quite a straight comparison.

So it's a little bit typical really.

Uh that's the parts inconsistency issue that Hass has suffered with all season where they sort of struggled to run two cars uh to the absolute kind of proper uh performance level.
