So I got what they were doing.

I didn't feel like this was a massive misstep.

And we're only a couple of races ago from Barcelona where that Ferrari strategy was really top-notch and working really well.

So...

I totally get that they've got a bit of a reputation for bad strategies, but I wouldn't file that one under that column for me.

Yeah, Daniel and Ian make great points.

I think that is exactly what we're lacking.

It's a shame because somebody can blast past on the way to Copse and then just get blown back on the way back to Stowe.

And it kind of makes it more artificial and hard to read the race than it needs to be, even if we had those battery graphics.

But I think it's just a very hard thing for the broadcast to have in real time and to do it effectively.

yeah i don't really have a proper answer as why we don't have them but yeah i share your frustration but we don't have them because it makes the races i think maybe less enjoyable than they would be if we could properly see who is deploying when and and how much battery we probably know then more what is a sort of a real overtaker guess and what is just someone using all that battery where they're inevitably going to get repassed a few corners later yeah i think it's pretty inexcusable really and we're at a time when formula one

Yes, and it's also quite entertaining whenever he does it.

And his radio messages are probably in the top 5% most entertaining of all the drivers.

And I think that's why he is picked on a little bit from that perspective.

But I'm sure Alonso would say the same thing as well because his messages are also entertaining and we often hear those.

Yeah, I mean, he wasn't the only one complaining about downshifts.

He was one of many drivers complaining of that.

So I think it's fair enough for the broadcaster to broadcast them.

Yeah, he wasn't happy with it afterwards either.
