And for me, it's a real issue that young, not just footballers, but it's a social issue as well, where there's almost a want to be accepted, you know, and also people are putting things out there because they want people to like them.
And, oh, you know, that looks really cool, rather than it being something they want to do generally themselves.
and I think it's something we have to be very mindful of whatever anybody says it's not going anywhere it's only going to get bigger and bigger and bigger so then it's about the education it's how you use it of course it's about policing which I think at the moment these social media companies are nowhere near doing enough to police it if they want
these lads on there, which they do, you know, the clubs a lot of the time see it as good marketing and agents will say the same, sponsors will say the same, but you are putting a piece of yourself out there to be shot at.
And again, I'm glad I didn't have that distraction when I was trying to find my way into the first team.
And, you know, you had the old fans forums, of course, but you had to almost go out of your way.
You know, and I knew some lads that would do that still on a five o'clock on a Saturday evening.
Yeah, but you're not going to get one without the other, though.
That's the thing.
And, you know, there might be a lad scrolling for that one bit of praise, especially nowadays on Twitter, where it's so instant.
