So I never met anyone who said anything about a dog, but what I think happened after speaking to dozens of people and the dozens of people who have spoken to the hundreds of people, and I would spend like hours, days, I spent 10 weeks in Springfield.
And what I would do is I would do drive-alongs and ride-alongs.
with residents, with elected leaders.
I spoke with first responders and the law enforcement, former law enforcement.
Probably the most significant interview that I did was with the sheriff of Clark County.
She was a sheriff from 2017 to 2025.
She saw literally everything.
Her perspective is, I don't say this negatively, I say this with accuracy, it was ghastly what she witnessed.
And she gave me it all.
I mentioned Phil Plummer, speaking of sheriff, but of Montgomery County, next door, Sheriff Plummer, then and now a representative.
He was the guy who got it in the bill that specifically these Haitian drivers, but everyone, you have to actually have the driver's ed so you're not flipping your car, you're not crashing it in apartment buildings, you're not crashing it in defenses, you're not doing a hit and run and then fleeing, which was a big deal that I found over and over.
The homeless minister,
I'm sitting there interviewing him for maybe our third conversation, and a buddy calls him.
Hey, my wife just got rear-ended by a Haitian, and he was trying to get his information, but he didn't produce a driver's license or insurance.
And then he tried to flee the scene, and she tried to hold him there, and then 15 Haitians showed up to intimidate her, and there's this big argument breaking out, and he's calling his friend to try to counsel him on what to do.
I'm just sitting here and this spontaneously happens.
Like all the things that had been debunked, I debunked the debunking simply by showing up to Springfield and watching what's going on and talking to people.
It surprised me how easy it was to reveal that the hoax is itself a hoax.
