We learn about the First Amendment, which has embedded in it the freedom of speech, the freedom of assembly and the freedom of religion.
The government is now, I mean, just if you think about it for a moment, Don, it blows your mind.
They are weaponizing the part of the First Amendment about freedom of religion to violate the other two parts of the First Amendment about freedom of assembly and freedom of the press.
So they're saying they're going to take apart the First Amendment, take the freedom of religion and warp it to mean that no one may protest near religious people if that religion is the state religion.
Because I'm going to be talking tonight about the fact that I don't see Pamela Joe running down to arrest the people who went into New Birth Missionary Baptist Church while they were in service.
to disrupt that service and call them heathens and everything but a child of God and false Christians, did that during their service, disrupted their service.
Where are the arrests, Pamela Jo?
Jamal Bryant has already reached out to the Justice Department to say, hey,
How come when it's a Black church that's not aligned with your white Christian nationalist movement, how come y'all not arresting nobody?
So they don't really mean it when they say that they're protecting the part about freedom of worship, because nothing about what happened violated the freedom of worship.
And even if they want to make a claim that the protest did, protesters, as we both know, go into protests knowing they could be arrested.
They take that risk on purpose.
But arresting and indicting you would be like indicting the people who took the pictures of John Lewis on the Edmund Pettus Bridge.
It makes about as much sense because the people knew they were going to the Edmund Pettus Bridge.
They followed John Lewis and the other people out of a church where they began that protest onto the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma.
And they took their pictures and they took pictures all the way.
