Thank you.

so mine is more of a philosophical objection i think that we meet often enough that if there are things that we want to take action on as a city that we should at least discuss it at council or have the opportunity to do so um even if that means divided votes i think this that what we've been doing for the past year has actually worked fairly well
the the lrc has whittled down what it is that might be of interest to the city and then if there have been disagreements amongst council members there's always been an opportunity even on consent to simply make the comment and then take a vote and i think that that is fine i'm not okay with with delegating authority quite this broadly to just two council members on this topic
right?
Correct.
No.

Yeah, I just was hoping that maybe, since I didn't see it in the presentation, that you could maybe go over the utility users tax, since this is one that I think we had identified as a need to perhaps continue since it will expire, at least the one that we currently have.
I MEAN THAT MORE IN TERMS OF SIMPLY RENEWING THE TAX.
I'll reserve the rest of my time.

Yeah, I want to echo sort of this notion of growing the pie so that the percentage that you're already getting that is lower and more competitive will produce more revenue in the long run.
I think that's the sentiment that's being expressed here.
I also just think that the appetite in general in the public that feels rather strained is not conducive to passing really any tax at present unless there is a really compelling reason behind it.
