She's just blatantly doing what she wants to do.

Um,

People are not going to just easily go arrest people that may be related to her.

Even if the shoe fits, they don't want to wear it.

They don't want them to wear it too soon.

So I'm not condemning anybody.

I'm just saying that you have to avoid the appearance of impropriety.

Not only the impropriety, but the appearance of impropriety.

That's for judges.

And you need to, for law enforcement to be trusted, you need to avoid the appearance of biasness.

And so if your deputies are protecting the judge five days a week, and you think somebody just going to believe you're going to up and go arrest one of her family members if the evidence led that way, I just don't see it.

I'm not comfortable that that would occur no time soon.

I can only tell you what I would do with my own family if I would have first evaluated what my family member told me.

I wouldn't know being a lawyer and a former judge whether or not what they told me is criminal.

And once I evaluated, if I thought that they could potentially be held or found guilty in a court of law, I would advise them to exercise their fifth amendment right and remain silent and to lawyer up.

But what they told me, and I evaluated and I didn't think it could potentially be a crime,

I would not be lorrying up.

I wouldn't be spending any money.

And I would allow them to talk as a regular witness to the law enforcement.
