Driving past Soldier Field the other night, I just searched on my app, my Google app, how far Hammond was from Soldier Field.
It's 12 miles.
12 miles.
The mayor of Hammond, who is a diehard Chicago sports fan, said that he left the Cubs game the other night, last Tuesday, and he got home in 25 minutes.
I live in the third largest city in Illinois.
It took me well over an hour.
And when we have those 120 Fridays and I'm doing Cups, Free and Post, so I get out of there about 5.15, it takes me an hour and 40, hour and 45 minutes to get home.
Like, that's how much closer Hammond is to, because I border Aurora, which is the second largest city in Illinois besides Chicago, which obviously is number one.
Like, it is a hop, skip, and a jump.
They consider themselves northwestern Indiana.
It is drastically closer than Arlington Heights is.
which is another reason why Chicago politicians may think let's go to Hammond because people may be more likely to stay in our town as opposed to the suburb of Arlington Heights.
It is absolutely a mess.
Well, at least we're well.
