But I just think you have to pick your guys.

You have to make sure you identify who you get and then you have to develop them.

I think you have to be committed to developing them.

And I think in a Canadian market, that's hard sometimes because there's so much pressure to win now.

Even when you're rebuilding and even when you're retooling on the fly, there's still some pressure to be competitive every night.

You know, your power play goes 0 for 4, you're getting booed off the ice at home.

So it's so hard to be patient and develop your draft picks in a Canadian market.

So...

At some point, yeah, somebody has to make a stand and there has to be alignment that this is what we're going to do.

We're going to draft well and we're going to develop all of our draft picks.

There's such a panic now, I feel, as a GM.
