Those requests are prominently predominantly temporary use, uh public use of the facility grounds and not permanent use of the uh facility grounds.

At this time we're looking to the board to give us some direction on some of the permanent uses um of that ground.

So right now we currently have four requests, two of which are before the board uh at this time.

Uh with respect to the master services plan, um we will pull that together and that'll help with identifying some site inventory mapping of where these

plaques or commemorative items could go, um use of the fut the grounds and um some formal proce procedures on the application process.

Okay.

Uh that is a uh list of the evaluation criteria that was used for the two requests before us tonight.

Uh so uh plaque request number one again is for the installation of the com commemorative plaque on the two hundred fiftieth anniversary of the first public reading of the independence uh declaration of independence in Virginia.

It is from uh SAR, which is the sons of the American Revolution.

Um and the request has been made in advance of their dedication ceremony uh on August twelfth.

And

Um so uh staff looked at uh three options with our consultant.

Um option one as requested by SAR uh was uh right beside the courthouse steps in a res recessed brick area.

Um option two was a ground mounted uh with a granite base, and option three was a pole mounted um

Outside the steps.

Recommation uh the recommendation from the consultant was location B.

There was strong visual presence there and a symbolic relationship to the courthouse, accessibility uh and introduces minimal visual clutter on the grounds.
