Yeah, taking a look here at Tropical Storm Bertha.
At uh 68 mile per hour winds for the current advisory, the latest advisory for the National Hurricane Center as of the 11 a.m.
advisory, and that is moving to the northwest at three miles per hour.
You can see here with the uh lopsided kind of nature of this storm with a lot of convection still on the south side.
Uh, but overall, yeah, a little bit of a surprise there with that steady straight.
strengthening just to about 10 miles per hour greater than initially expected, really because of a kind of pocket of lower wind shear.
It's kind of out ahead of the developing higher wind shear that we'll take a look at here in just a second.
But here's a look at the forecast cone where that's expected here through the next uh 24 hours or so to maintain strength, if not dip back down to 50 mile per hour winds and then continue to weaken slowly
But surely from there, maintaining tropical storm strength through Thursday, and then eventually unravel more and more once we get to about Thursday.
Though you can also see the active tropical storm watches and warnings now for the panhandle of Florida upgraded to tropical storm warnings, and then those watches extending over into pretty much most of Louisiana's coastline at this point.
There is a low-end risk for storm storm.
surge anywhere from about uh the same areas more or less.
So the Florida panhandle over into Louisiana, from about a foot to two feet and even some spots mainly over into far eastern portions of Louisiana, that storm surge forecast upwards of three to four feet.
Here's a look though at the uh latest Hurricane Hunter uh mission where both the Air Force and NOAA hurricane hunters had been in and out of Bertha throughout this morning and uh had really kept up with the uh stor rather wind speeds, max wind speeds, around 60 miles per hour at times had seen upwards of greater, but uh for now gonna be can continuing to see wind shear because.
