Yes, and...

Yeah, the reason for keeping the location confidential is that we're actually talking about really dangerous people.

These perpetrators or a lot of them that perpetrate this abuse are looking for their pets because they know that is the one thing that they have leverage over with the person.

So we get calls all the time from abusers that are ringing up to see whether perhaps we might have a pet in our care.

The last thing we want is them turning up to the

shelter location and that's why we keep it confidential even from the clients that we're assisting so they can't be coerced into saying where their pet is.

We had a case recently actually where a dog came in and had an ear tag tracker and we were able to remove that and take it a long way away from the shelter.

And fortunately we were able to do that before we got to the shelter because our team knows now to check what the dog is coming with, especially collars.

Sometimes families will want to send blankets and toys and things like that.

So we're checking those as well now.

We also know with our case team working with clients that the use of technology to track emails, to track phones, to track all of that is becoming more prevalent as well.

So we take precautions when these are not nice people and they will go to great lengths to find their partners or their spouses.

We've had several dogs and cats come into our care today
