A bit of a wake-up call, maybe.
Yeah, they have to minimise their errors, especially as the tournament goes on and obviously the teams they face will be harder.
I think yesterday there was a lot of emotion riding on it.
There was a lot of hype and pressure about that game.
Especially because it was England-Scotland.
lot riding on that game so do you think for England it's just more just a relief then to get that first one out of the way and like you said the emotion of England Scotland yeah definitely because I think England know they had to get three points yesterday yeah um obviously Argentina yes they should be getting the three points anyway but Japan is going to be another tough game so I think
For them, they wanted to start the group with three points.
It is adrenaline will drain you when you're playing.
And then I think then second half, probably when Scotland come at them, it probably did take England a bit by surprise.
And then it's then become more of a battle, of a 50-50 battle, which again is draining in itself.
I think in the first half, where Scotland were dropping off and weren't pressing England, and England were getting into their stride and they were playing some great football, then they're going in at half-time, probably buzzing, they're tuning up, they're like, yeah, girls, we've got this.
And then they come out, and then all of a sudden Scotland are in their faces.
And then it's about then, I think that's when you find the real character of a team, is getting through that, getting through that second half and not,
potentially conceding two goals and coming out of a draw, they've still managed to get through and get the three points.
I think, again, when they come out in the second half, I think 2-0 is a dangerous scoreline anyway to come back into a second half.
So I think they have to play the same way in a sense of take care of the ball.
They have to look after the ball and if it's not on to go forward, we keep it, we go back.
