Welcome, ladies. Emma, we'll start with you. For anyone who doesn't know, just talk us through the story of the game.
It was a controversial opening at the Allianz Riviera. In the 12th minute, the referee signalled for a VAR review to look at a potential handball inside the area. Fran Kirby's cross had hit the arm of Nicola Docherty and under new FIFA rules, England were given a penalty for handball.

Nikita Paris stepped up. She took it and hammered home to give England the lead. And it was Manchester City's Ellen White who doubled that lead on the 40-minute mark. Points for England, but plenty of positives for Scotland.

Do you think that was harsh on Scotland? Yes, it was very harsh. It's an actual position. Her body's going in. She's 100% committing to go to block the ball and obviously your arms are up. So, yeah, it was very disappointing for us.
What were you thinking at that moment?
I was like, no. I think we were actually watching and we were like, what's it for?
What tactical adjustments did Scotland make in the second half?
I was confused what it was, the penalty was even for, like what they were going to VAR for. And then obviously when we seen it back, I was like, never. So yeah, VAR, it's just disappointing.
Do you think the new rules have made it like any clearer then? Or do you think they've actually made it more confusing?
No, I think it's harder for referees because there was another two incidents in the game actually for England again that I thought were more penalties than, you know, a shout than that one. So I think it just depends the referee's decision on the day. Gillian, was it a penalty?
Yes, obviously, being English, for us, obviously, it's a bonus. But again, I'm a defender, so I agree.
What are the implications of the new handball rules on the game?
At first, when they called it back to VAR, obviously, it was a bit like, well, what's it for? Because no other player, apart from Fran Kirby, appealed for it. Obviously, Fran was the person delivering the ball, so she would have seen it. So it was unclear. But then as soon as they went to VAR, I said straight away, they're going to give it as a penalty because... It's hit her arm. I think it's unjustified. I don't think it was a penalty. But again, if it's seen on VAR, they're going to have to give it. But it's hard for a defender.
How do the teams prepare for their upcoming matches against Japan and Argentina?
What are you going to do? You're going to have to put your hands behind your back now.
You see lots of defenders run out now and they put their arms behind their back because they're so worried now about giving away penalties in that situation.
