how it's going to work as you're an adult, being able to balance those.
And no one comes before the other.
Because a lot of times our kids are very impulsive, right?
They tend to be like, I want this right now and I can't put
off pleasure to get through a task first.
And that's an important skill.
How do I get through this and then know I'm gonna access something fun later and try to, you know, squash that I need to do the fun stu thing right now.
And so I tend to do the fun thing over my work and put off my work and not do it.
And I think one of the things I have a a teen that I'm working with and I his mom's so great about it because it's you know he
He is really a you know, into video games and they let him have an Xbox in his room and she said, She's like, I could easily monitor it.
I mean I could easily be like, Nope, we're taking it away and you're not having access to that She's like, But in four years he's gonna be nineteen.
And someday he's gonna live on his own.
And so when does he learn how to monitor his his video game playing?
You know?
And I thought, oh, that's so true.
And so we have to go through the bumps of it, right?
And the bumps are
He's late for school because he started playing video games and he didn't keep track of time.
And so then he comes in and we have to sit down and have a conversation.
