Very, very well, they're very bleak rooms there,
Yeah.
So it's so fascinating because I feel like executive functioning has really come up a lot, say in the last probably ten years.
I remember when I moved up here um and started teaching middle school and that was my first introduction to executive functioning.
And not that anyone told me what it was.
It just was I had all these middle school kids who were leaving their stuff everywhere and couldn't turn in assignment.
Like I was seeing this theme.
I was like, that's not
Is going on.
I need a class period a day where we can address this stuff that's happening.
Um, but executive functionings are basically brain-based skills required to effectively execute and perform tasks and solve problems, right?
I mean, that's essentially what it is.
It helps to, you know, these processes that help us to regulate our behavior, to help us set goals, um, to be able to meet those goals.
goals, the balance the demands and our desires and wants and needs and have to's.
So it's all of those kind of skills.
It's all of your, you know, um working memory, um, emotional control, response inhibition, being able to organize our time management.
Um
are, you know, planning and prioritization, sustaining attention, being able to start a task, right?
So all of those, I mean, and we everything we everything and we use them every day, all the time.
Right?
