And that just further underscored my need to completely normalize that fact.
And I do address in this chapter why a lot of older folks say, what's wrong with those people, with that generation?
And I'm here as a 53-year-old saying, no, no, no, you older folks, stop.
Things are different now.
Just stop.
Stop comparing your way of being and what you know and what you remember from your own.
Just stop.
Let's stop imposing upon millennials and Gen Z some boomer or even Gen X or ideal of the way things should be.

And I just upfront say, I know it takes a lot of chutzpah.
for somebody older than you to tell you to make the world better because we, the older people, have messed it up.
So I try to do that dance of like, I'm here, I may be less credible because I'm in these older generations, but here's why I try to prove why I'm trustworthy, I think, basically.
