And so what we've been able to do, and hyperchlorous, again, is innate to the immune system.
Scientists figure out how to replicate it over a hundred years ago, but we're now able to replicate it and stabilize it into a formulation so you can put it into a topical solution that you can now apply to your skin the same way that your body's working internally.
And so what you get is a really powerful natural non-toxic antimicrobial that also helps with things like inflammation.
So it's funny, my introduction to hypochlorous was kind of similar to you.
I used to work in the hospital side, more on the commercialization of new products, also in regenerative medicine.
I owned a company that would help products launch into the hospital space, and a lot of what we were doing were really expensive biologic regenerative tissues, and they were using them for things like diabetic foot ulcers, venous stasis ulcers.
where a patient was vascularly compromised and their wounds wouldn't heal.
And a medical device company came to me and said, we want to launch this technology called hyperchlorous acid into the hospital side.
And that was probably about 10, 12 years ago.
and they explained to me the science and like any new product I'm doing all the clinical research and I'm reading about it and understanding the price point and these expensive biologics are thousands of dollars and this is relatively very inexpensive and I'm going wow this is a really powerful technology and really inexpensive.
And then, you know, it's funny, you never market this on the hospital side very often, but it was natural and non-toxic too.
And I was like, wow, this is really cool.
And so long story short, I helped them launch it into the hospital side, but I was an avid surfer at the time that would go on these boat trips to the Maldives and to Hawaii and yeah, reef cut staff, everything.
And so I started to take samples along with me everywhere I was going, and I'd hand it out to friends.
And you just watch this kind of evangelical kind of like, this stuff is amazing.
Not only does it work for cuts, but it's bug bites, sunburns.
It doesn't sting.
And so it became this like, just watch it catch on with all of my friends and all the athletes I was hanging out with.
And I went back to the medical device company and I said, what are you doing with your over-the-counter indication?
And they said, nothing, we're going to focus on the hospital.
