Um, and we've never

w our lesson growing up was if y'all came together, y'all leave together.

Uh that that's that's how you how how I grew up, whether it be the skating ring, the water park, whatever it is.

And I think that is what uh didn't happen uh for Nolan.

Um they he was he was left, he was abandoned.

Um, and uh this tragedy has obviously happened.

But black people's pain oftentimes is not given the same amount of attention um as white people's pain in this country.

And that's just the truth.

And so that socialization comes off in the statement of of this this person uh as well who was just speaking, that he doesn't have empathy for her pain because.

Because uh he hasn't been taught to.

It it is very odd, and they they've been coached to say these things.

Um, obviously their their parents uh are are smart enough to make sure that their their kids sort of know what to say when they when they're doing obviously these big interviews uh and the fact that they're being told to blame uh Nolan's mom for the attention.

The truth of the matter is uh you saw this at the National Urban League.

There are a lot of 18-year-olds, there are a lot of

Young black kids who have been lost.

for whom we have no answers.

And so the attention that's being garnered is because there's a recognition pattern of what has happened to young black people across this country not getting answers for the deaths, for the loss, for the grief, and the demand that this not be the same case uh in in in the story of Nolan.

And so his mom has done what a lot of moms have done, what Tyree Nichols's mom has done, right?
