It's kind of interesting to hear you describe the ride.
I've never done that before, but I've heard that with a stronger system, because it's a little more stable, so to speak, established is a better word to use, that it can be a smoother ride than if you were going into a developing tropical cyclone due to those strong updrafts and downdrafts can be quite turbulent there.
So it's really interesting to see that you're seeing things were kind of leveling off there.

Well, we can see it in the skies and I've known Saharan dust to be so thick you can actually see it on a car down in South Florida.
But yeah, it can affect a lot of different things.
There's research on it affecting the red tide situation.
It can make things worse.
Also, it just, it can lower the rainfall amounts that you see as well because the air is drier over land.
So yeah, we typically keep a close watch on the Saharan air layer, as we technically call it.
And there is a lot still out there to come, which is very unusual for this time of the year.
We typically see this backing off this time of the year.
It's early in the season and late in the season when we watch Saharan dust.
And then in kind of the heart of this hurricane season,
August, September, it's at lesser amounts.
And that's when we'd see a big flare up in the tropics on average of what we call the main development region.
But as we kind of let this play out, we see a lot of dust out there that is still yet to come off another big thick plume traversing the Atlantic in the trade wind flow.
