But there are some players we might not get back this season now.
And Xavier Coates was one of them that was announced with his Achilles injury.
So that's disappointing.
But the pleasing part is we're finding a way to win.
We're playing players in different positions, and we've got a younger, energetic team that's starting to find its form and connect.
So, you know, from here, anything can happen, but we're definitely not getting ahead of ourselves, Gerard.
We'll take it one week at a time.
Yeah, well, it probably started with Damien and I having a number of conversations over the last few years about how we could partner together in various different ways.
And to be honest, we didn't want to do anything that wasn't meaningful or impactful.
And we've known each other for a long time, but hadn't quite found that purpose that we thought was going to be something that was going to be really generating something that was meaningful and impactful in the community.
And
We met again, I think, late last year and started discussing this opportunity to talk about men's health.
And then that morphed into mental health because some of the numbers and the statistics just from your family and friends, let alone, you know, from what's happening out there in the community, really started to resonate.
From there, our teams got together and started to work through some ideas.
And that's how we came up with this concept that ultimately as well was brought in really quickly internally at the Storm, whether it be our players, our coaches, our staff, everybody really believed in what this meant and what it's doing and how it's going to help.
And so once you've got those ingredients all put together, it was a pretty powerful combination and
And the team at AIA and obviously Beyond Blue with the work that they do coming on board to help support what is an opportunity for us and a platform for us to highlight how important it is to have those tough conversations because our players are tough on the field, but we want to see them be vulnerable off the field.
Yeah, it did.
And it coincides this weekend with our old boys round.
I think we've got a record number of old boys in town.
