Yeah, that's a good question.
So there's a couple of parts to that.
Firstly, now that the rights have been negotiated, it becomes a negotiation between the stakeholders for how that money is all carved up and who gets the biggest piece of the pie.
So there's obviously the collective bargaining agreement with the players.
There's the club grant, which comes through a mechanism called distributable revenue that the game effectively supports its stakeholders and clubs with
so what happens now is we'll enter into a discussion with the NRL with the players around the CBA and ultimately the game will decide and the commission will decide how that money is split and importantly for the sport in Victoria participation, pathways these are critical investments in terms of the growth of the game in Victoria and continuing to support the Melbourne Storm and its projection and obviously our positioning in Melbourne so
it's going to be a huge opportunity for the sport to continue to invest, but not just continue, actually increase its investment in grassroots, increase its investment in participation, schools, and ultimately pathways.
That'll help support rugby league in Victoria, which ultimately, hopefully, one day will help Melbourne Storm through talent coming through our pathway system.
It's been a challenge, but at the same time, when you look at migration and the Pacific and Polynesian, Maori communities that are moving to Victoria through the growth corridors, southeast, northwest and north, there's opportunity everywhere.
And obviously the Melbourne Rebels no longer being part of Super Rugby has helped us in terms of, you know,
creating more opportunities for young kids who want to play rugby or rugby union or rugby league so they can see a pathway now they can see the opportunity that the NRL and rugby league is presenting and and that's helping us and yeah the game obviously at the elite level is flying and the broadcast rights is another example of opportunity for young men and women who want to play the sport that you know they can see you know what that pathway looks like so
For us, it's just been about making sure that we have a presence across those key communities.
We're involved in schools within NRL Victoria.
We're supporting the grassroots development.
We've got great programs.
We've got special pathways hubs that have been set up to ensure that that development continues and continues to grow.
So I think the game's in a really
Strong spot, the growth there.
We're coming from a low base.
We're not necessarily competing with the AFL at all.
