Well, it wasn't a good idea before Codex existed, but was definitely not a good idea a couple of years ago.

So like let's just make the WWW page a Squarespace site and just make it look close enough like to the branding of her Becky Graham kind of page, which is driven by a CMS and uh the application proper.

And then she could edit and update the copy and and make new modules and stuff and in sort of like the home page and drive conversion and the marketing and all that.

And then we actually did it and we realized that the Squarespace editor is so fucking fragile and bug prone that even their own components, when you lay them out perfectly and they look just right.

Uh in a desktop view, you realize, well, in the mobile view, they look like ass.

And so then you then you go switch over to their mobile view toggle, which is a toggle and not progressive, and then you you you make it look right there, and then you toggle back, and now it looks like ass on the desktop.

And you just kind of keep going back and forth forever until eventually the variance settles into a nice quality.

Consistent but ugly experience for all browsers.

And it was it just felt so precarious that she looked at that after we put that website up and was like, I will never fucking touch this again.

I'm like, Good, because we're just gonna pay a hundred and eighty dollars in perpetuity for this one page to exist, um, annually.

So I would like to get off that.

Uh we've to Codex was able to in like exactly two prompts basically port the entire site.

Um into Tailwind first and then into the the Rails app.

Uh and then uh in another

single prompt was able to build a a sort of templating system for assets that lived in AWS like video content.

So she could just have like the name of the like a label basically and know that when she logs in like when she wants to promote the website into production, just you gotta go and and uh first upload that that video and give it the right label so that it shows up in the template so that the thing can render, you know.

But like those were the two steps and it's basically done.

And I a as I'm looking at the the calendar here, it's August eighth.

And I think that thing goes up for renewal in like three days.
