So, you know, 31 other teams have tough time getting over the hump, but, um, you keep giving yourself kicks at the can and keep giving yourself opportunities to win.
And, and, and, you know, I, I go back when people ask me about this, about, you know, Carolina about finally getting it and, and,
when I played for Washington after I left LA, those were two of the best teams I had, I had probably ever been on talent wise and we didn't win.
And the next year was supposed to be a step, step back for them.
And all of a sudden they kept giving themselves a shot in the playoffs and they won.
And it's just, it's funny how it works out sometimes, but you just got to get invited to the dance every year.
And sometimes you never know.
Yeah, I mean, so for me as, you know, an outsider and knowing obviously Peter very well, it's hard to get excited for another team.
Obviously, I have a ton of affinity for the Kings and my history there and all the guys in the organization and even Drew is still playing.
So, I mean, I have, you know, a great soft spot for LA and I want to see them succeed and do well and do everything.
So,
I am really excited for this hire.
Not just because Labby is going to LA, my favorite team on the West Coast.
He's a good friend and he's going to be...
He's going to have a great showing there.
He is one of the best speakers I know and one of the best motivators I've ever been a part of and I've ever had the ability to hear him speak.
Before games, he can just get you so excited and riled up.
Not that NHL players should need that, but...
