Because there are a lot of people who defend sex work and who come out and say that that is work, myself included.
I I recognize sex work as a form of of work.
As long as that they're doing so freely.
And I guess the broader question that is being asked here is in a patriarchal society, in a society where women face all sorts of economic hardships and disadvantage.
Can they ever truly freely agree to something like surrogacy?
Mm-hmm.
But I think that it's not as clear cut as every instance of this is definitely a form of financial abuse or coercion.
I'm open to the possibility that there are instances where people are freely coming to this.

And I think that that that dynamic that gets set up there is here are some really wealthy, privileged, powerful people who are
using the bodies of people who are almost always, as as far as I understand, far less wealthy, um, far less powerful.
So is that like a a safe and healthy dynamic to be entering into?
I think that immediately that dynamic immediately starts to like raise alarm bells for people.
I guess there it's highlighting the convenience that it's giving her body as opposed to the medical necessity that surrogacy is having for her to be able to even have a child in the first place.
And there is something uncomfortable about that.
It's an unconventional situation and an unconventional thing to be reading about.
Denying the child the right to grow up in a in a family that rel reflects their culture.
pressure.
I mean, I think the dilemma there is
