And of course, this didn't worry her at first.

I mean, it's college.

Everyone's coming in and out.

Cindy has two part-time jobs at this point.

She's going to school.

She's very involved on campus.

She's volunteering with all these things.

She was a very busy girl.

On a Thursday, even after the holiday, there were a million places that she could be.

But then the evening rolls around and Cindy's still not back.

And this is when Catherine starts thinking that it's a little strange because they had plans to go to a friend's place together.

And Cindy was never the type of girl to just bail on plans without telling her.

By November 2nd, which at that point is basically a day and a half later, Cindy still wasn't answering her phone.

Her friends also noticed that she missed classes and she also missed a shift at the library.

But it wasn't until Saturday, November 3rd, that things really took a turn.

Because by this point, it had been two and a half days since Stacey dropped Cindy off, and no one had seen or heard from her since.

However, it was when she missed her shift at the Korean restaurant that her friends really, really knew something was wrong.

And that's because Cindy was close with the restaurant's owner.

She would sometimes come in, even when she wasn't on shift, just to help watch his kids.

He told the press that Cindy was basically like his own niece, and she would not have left him hanging without so much as a phone call.
