There was also a time where she and I were trying to get into the room, but when we tried to open the door, it felt like someone was forcefully shoving the door closed, hard enough to almost knock us off our feet.
Our first thought was that someone was still in the room, but when we finally entered, there was no one inside.
We tried to recreate this, but just couldn't.
But even that couldn't prepare me for what I personally experienced by myself.
It was a long summer day, and I was alone on a shift in the laundry room.
It was a weekend day and the laundry supervisor wasn't on shift.
She and I were pretty close.
She knew my family and was kind of like a big sister to me.
And because we were so close, she would often call me by my nickname, which only my family calls me by.
On this day, when I was alone, I heard her voice call my name.
It was soft, almost like a whisper.
And it sounded not quite like her.
I looked up to see her walking into the side closet.
Confused as to why she was there on her day off, I followed her into the closet.
But when I walked in, it was empty.
I quickly turned and I left the room because I was freaking out.
The closet has no other doors and no windows, so there was no way she could have left without me seeing her.
Still, I called her to ask if she was there, but she hadn't been.
She wasn't even in the area at the time.
I still get chills every time I think about this moment because I saw her and heard her clear as day, and then she was gone.
