I think in terms of like the fan base and how they felt, because as I said, like prior to that, the Blue Jays had made a couple of postseasons, but had done nothing in it and had not just done nothing in it, but actually had like spectacularly catastrophic.

catastrophic endings to both of those um playoff runs and just in terms of like what could go wrong did go wrong and and they sort of also shot themselves in the foot a little bit against the twins um and so i think there was like a lot of anger then to me this is now just like kind of disappointing um i do wonder if like the decisions will be a little bit bigger now in terms of moving guys just because there's a little bit more uh nostalgic attachment to a

um last year so in 24 like the big piece was kikuchi kind of um and yes fans grew to love kikuchi i think during his time but i don't know that he was necessarily like a nostalgic favorite of that era um and then it was like ikf like i mean he had hardly been a blue jay um at that point and he was moved so those were some of the big pieces uh i'm trying to remember some other guys that were traded some relievers um

you know, blanking on their names right now.

Uh, Richard's, uh, anyway, Jimmy Garcia moves.

Yeah.

So some releasers relievers, which like, you know, uh, we love our relievers, but sometimes they're, they don't necessarily have, um, a lasting stay in fans hearts.

Um,

but I think that this year you know there's a lot more attachment to some of the guys that could be traded like a George Springer like are you gonna move George he was such a signifier of a new era of this team signing a huge free agent contract coming in making that immediate impact and then

being with the Blue Jays for these really special runs.

Gosman, same thing.

Another person that really came in and was a huge free agent signing made an impact.

And so you're thinking of, are you going to trade those guys?

It would feel really like...

the end of an era, and I think it would feel really emotional for fans to see those guys go.

And so, while I don't know that, you know, there's not as much maybe anger around this team, but I do think there would be a lot of disappointment and sadness around some of these guys moving.

But, you know, again, the Blue Jays want to sort of like quickly be able to pivot and hope to compete next year.

Then following the roadmap they did in 24 could be a good idea because obviously it helped them for the following year.
