So that's got to feel good for him.

I don't know.

Maybe he was listening to our pregame show where we were talking about maybe cutting him loose, and it was fuel for him.

He was saying, no, he deserves a spot on this roster.

Also fuel, sometimes playing your former team gives guys, I don't know, a little extra edge, a little extra –

uh oomph in there at bats so i mean i know he hasn't really been with the pirates uh recently but uh you know sometimes sometimes guys get fueled by different things so good for him uh as you say it was it was not a cheap home run it was a no doubter and he deserved it it's been a long time coming for him and uh uh he he looked happy and and his teammates looked happy for him which was nice as well yeah that was really cool to see uh let's see keith from scarborough

Yeah, I think teams never go into a game expecting to lose.

They're always going into a game expecting to win.

And the Blue Jays know they're capable of beating any pitcher out there, even a Paul Skeens.

But I think that, yeah, in the back of your mind, you look at the series and you think, look, if we take two out of three and we lose to Skeens, that's okay.

Those are games that...

You don't want to lose, but if you do lose them, you kind of understand them.

As John Schneider might say, you would tip your cap to the other side.

OK, sorry, sorry.

It's a banned phrase, I think.

But just talking about the other pitching matchups, you kind of like the Blue Jays when you have Gosman and Cease going on the mound basically against anybody.

So you like the Blue Jays' chances to take this series.

And and maybe you think if we get a sweep great, but not necessarily expecting that knowing that we're gonna play play skiing So the fact that you were getting you got the win today And got a decisive win I would say like you you know you it was a close game It was close game for most of the game and the Blue Jays did a nice job late getting some add-on runs and to sort of alleviate the pressure on the bullpen a little bit but

So, yeah, I mean, overall, a great effort, like some of our texters are saying, just all around great offense, great defense, great pitching for the most part.

And, you know, that's how you get the job done here.
