I mean, Jason Ryan coming in was awesome.

Even this morning, I think he, or the last couple of days, he's connected them with Will Kinnear, our forwards coach.

So I can see the real hunger coming

an interest from the coaches already to be part of our space.

And I think that's going to create awesome alignment.

But I think probably more importantly, some really consistent messages from the top down.

And again, that is a big part of my role too as well.

Yeah, well, I think that's probably the most important thing first is understanding that, is that they are a young person and that the more balance they have around rugby, the better rugby player they're going to be or the better person they're going to be within their environment.

So that stuff outside of footy, so are they chasing to be an electrician?

Is it becoming a teacher?

Is it becoming a doctor?

Whatever it is that they want to do, that's got to be the stuff which...

um needs to be really they need to have a lot of attention and focus so they can be a good rugby player because rugby is something they um that they really enjoy at the moment but it's not going to be it can't be the everything and they need to understand that really really early so they have that focus outside but also to i guess again we're talking about them being young people they need to understand the ups and downs of being a young person um

I even talk, I know it's strange, but like the, you know, when they start getting partners and whatnot, the difference between you breaking up with a partner or a partner breaking up with you is two completely different things.

And even just dealing with that as a young person, like I know it's strange to talk about, but that's what they're going to have to go through, right?

um and that's all laced in and that does affect your ability to train well to have good conversations to open up um etc etc so i think with any type of special young talent is to ensure they understand your opportunities to move forward nothing's guaranteed but then outside those opportunities from a rugby perspective as well how are you growing yourself to then you know look after wife after rugby

because this is in their eyesight or they're part of it already and everything I've dreamt of doing or becoming, I've achieved it, I've got there and that's all they want to sort of focus on.
