Because so you are in this environment as a child and you are also having to meet the man that is your father, right?
Not only meeting the man that's your father, but this man killed somebody, right?
So you're looking at this person every visit that you go to and you're thinking, how?
You even think some fucked up shit.
You even think, what were you thinking when you did that?
But when you're a child, you don't know how to ask those things.
You even realize you want to know those things until you are older.
Until you can realize like, hey, this is not how this is supposed to go.
This is not what a normal family is like being set up.
I remember going into the prison, to this specific one, and only looking at a mural on the wall where families would like sit down.
