Again, I just kind of followed my mom's advice.
I did not tell Kate or I told Casey the truth about everything and told him why I didn't want to talk to my dad.
And so I told him everything so he could get an understanding.
So I had gotten a phone call also during this time that my dad had a pretty, pretty serious surgery.
I can't remember what it was, maybe something on his liver, something definitely internal and that they weren't sure he was going to make it.
And they were like, Carrie, you need to come see him.
So I remember like hanging up off the phone, hanging the phone up.
And I was like, I don't know about that because you know how many times I needed him to come and see me and he wasn't there.
Well, I just really think, you know, and some of his family.
