I think it's a lofty goal and a good goal to clean up our charter.

I really appreciate all the time and effort from staff and the people in the committee and

you now listening to all of this.

I went to several of the meetings.

Quite frankly, there was so much going on, it was a little hard to follow and keep track of.

I, of course, mentioned ethics.

And I respect that in order to pass this, to clean it up, the charter, at least that part of it,

that it is necessary to not put controversial issues in.

We did, I believe, the council at one time agreed to an ethics commission.

And I don't think it's the public that has a problem with the ethics commission.

I believe it's the council that does.

And I understand why.

And it's okay not to have it in there.

But I just

it's not the public that's debating about that.

We'd love to have an ethics commission, I think, overall, and it wouldn't need to be defined.

But basically, you know, once again, it's too much work and too little time.

And I think we do need to narrow it down, has been suggested.
