uh lonely um interchange.

Um yeah, well I of course, you know, sometimes it's really good to have a poet who's safely dead.

But um uh uh not that I wish that on uh on anybody that I translate, obviously.

Um no, i it is a a kind of very uh intimate um

Exchange really can be quite a bruising one.

You know, it's not always easy.

Not with doors, I mean, but in general.

I I love right working with living writers.

I mean, that's what excites me.

I mean, to be honest, to kind of feel that uh feel that electricity, feel that um the way that language moves.

Um, and I like Sasha's comment about you know the back and forth of.

Living languages.

I think Doors and I have known each other for a long time now.

Um, and I think you do begin to hear.

Um you begin to hear the rhythms, you begin to hear the voice, you begin to know, um, you get more confident in knowing exactly what's going on in a poem.

But he often surprises me w he goes in a new direction and you know, I there's something else to get my head round.

Um w when I said that's about being generous, I mean there are lots of um

references in Durs's poem.

It's a kind of very intellectual poetry.
