We have a far more active welfare system today than we did two years ago.
We've got 70,000 people in case management.
They have to participate in a seminar and understand their rights and responsibilities before they sign on.
um and despite there being still some economic lingering challenges we've seen 83 000 people leave the benefit into work in the last 12 months so i'm really confident that what we're doing is working um and we've got a far more active system msd are far more proactive working with employers working with job seekers and making those really important matches to get people off welfare and into work nobody would argue that it's more active
Well, there's a large number of people now who are on the JobSeeker benefit who've been in work in recent months and have significant skills.
qualifications so that's why I am confident we can match them and the big focus of the team at MSD has been ensuring that as the economic conditions turn and the job ads come up that our people are first in line and that's exactly what is happening working really closely with employers not just reactively so you know there's a vacancy come up today can we advertise the job and
