And at that point, like, when you're 18, you just want to go do something.
You want to have fun.
Like, any adventure is a good adventure, so...
Mum mentioned that she had family here.
I was actually here at Aussie.
Dad had a best friend over there, or Mum had family here, which I hadn't met at that point.
But I thought, yeah, why not?
And I just came for a holiday for a gap year, and that's turned into 12 years.
And I think the netball was a good driving force for me to want to stay, but I also started building a life outside of that, and I think that's what helped with that grind.
It took me up to seven years before I actually pulled on that black dress.
And again, people ask me how you lasted that long or how you kept grinding.
But if you've got other stuff that you can focus on and also not have all your eggs in one basket, that's just a part of your life.
So yeah, I really started building a life for myself in New Zealand.
That's why I could have stayed and kept doing what I was doing.
Yeah, game day is pretty much Groundhog Day, to be honest.
It was a bit of an earlier game, so we didn't have as much downtime as we usually do.
But we get up in the morning, we go to our captain's run.
It's mainly for our shooters to just go shoot.
This last couple of series, we've got a lot of young ones in our team.
We've started dancing.
