But, I mean, we were doing the scans and the things.

We were doing the necessary things, but nothing was showing up.

But I was like, anti-inflammatories, painkillers, good to go.

So, yeah, it was our very last game.

We didn't have a good season that year with the tactics.

But our very last game, I remember, was against the Pulse at Christchurch Arena.

Went up for an intercept against Te Anau.

And I landed really hard.

And at that point, the painkillers didn't want to work anymore.

So I was hobbling.

It was only three minutes left to go in the game.

I'm the kind of player, unless you're going to sub me off, I'm not going off by my own will.

So coach wasn't calling it.

So I was pretty much just hobbling for the three minutes on court.

And then they put me, because the selections were coming up for comm games and all that kind of stuff, or comm games were coming up, they put me in a moon boot.

precautionary while they were doing all the tests and stuff.

And I'd gone for my scan.

I was in the gym.

I was ready to go that morning when I got the news.

I went to the gym.
