So some of the things that Mark has said and I have said are um resonating with and pro probably mimicking some of the discussions that
that have be that are uh that are ongoing with with with a uh a a wide group of people.
You know, um so I just wanted to acknowledge as other as other sources of um sort of or perspectives on this issue and why it's such an important issue from uh from from many perspectives.
Um how you instantiate it I think is quite simple.
Um you and I'm sure Mark has actually done this.
It's just basically to make sure that you have
As part of your functional architecture, the ability to palpate or to feel your uncertainty.
And that necessarily introduces a certain kind of hierarchical or parametric depth to your generative models.
It is unremarkable from the point of view of statistician, because the whole point of statistics is to estimate your felt uncertainty in the form of standard error.
like Fischer and Box, the whole of parametric statistics was just invented to get a feel for or a handle on the uncertainty when making an inference.
So yeah, the maths is there.
It's just a question of putting that into a computer architecture.
I think I you know I perhaps attention heads are baby steps in that direction, but that's not good enough.
Yeah, just having the mechanism to
exert the products of your felt uncertainty does not actually prescribe where where you are the actions of actually estimating the standard error or the un uncertainty.
But, you know, in principle, we know we know how to do that as a statistician.
All Mark has to do now is to build it into a uh in in the spirit of Feynman, make one, and then he'll understand it.
